Ken has found the term Intimate Portraiture best to describe a style of image he has developed. Anyone can take a picture. To create an image
that, captures a special time, a special moment, a glimpse of an indescribable relationship takes a special insight. Although most often our intimate portraits are mothers with babies or children,
we often create portraits capturing many of the other relationships in our lives.
Intimacy is a state of mind, an emotion, or an
interaction. Mother-Daughter, Husband-Wife, Sisters, Father-Son.
Sometimes the interaction is between the person in the portrait and the person it was created for. It might be a portrait for yourself to
remember a special time.
